LCAnet is a modular ontology network for Life Cycle Assessment providing a unified semantic framework for interoperable knowledge modelling across the full LCA workflow. It follows a modular architecture where each module captures a specific aspect of Life Cycle Assessment. The Core module integrates all components and ensures semantic consistency across the network.
The ontology is structured into the following interconnected modules, each independently explorable or usable in combination through the Core.
A set of competency questions (CQs) demonstrates the convenience of the LCAnet ontology across various scenarios.
In the context of the SmartACV (CEA) Project, two use cases were explored: batteries and integrated circuits. The resources below demonstrate the practical applicability of LCAnet.
